Introducing CHAMFER-Z

Introducing CHAMFER-Z, the tool that makes getting the perfect chamfer E-Z. Chamfer tools have small flat on the tip that isn't always what the manufacturer specifies. Because of this you can't just set the Z height of the chamfer cutter and get a perfect chamfer. Just slide the CHAMFER-Z onto your cutter, measure the tool height, and your height will be set at the virtual tip of the cutter. This tool can be used to accurately measure the tip flat, or just program your tool as a sharp tip cutter.

How does it work?

The chamfer tool seats on a conical surface that places the virtual tip level with the bottom of the Chamfer-Z.

Chamfer Z allows you to set the virtual point of your chamfer tool. Since chamfer tools don't have a infinitely sharp point, and the advertised tip flat is often not accurate, it can be difficult to nail the chamfer on the first cut. This tool makes it easy to get the chamfer you programed on the first cut.
